The San Cibrao industrial estate responds to the demand for qualified professionals with two training courses in welding and plumbing

The Association makes a firm commitment to training after its Integrated Employment Program offered more than 1,200 hours in 25 courses and achieved more than 50% job placement.

The lack of qualified professionals is a problem of concern in the energy and installations sector.

The Polígono San Cibrao Entrepreneurs Association will respond to this demand by offering two training courses on welding and plumbing.

The first one, TIG and Coated Electrode Welding, will begin this week, on Thursday, November 4, and will offer 759 hours of duration until its completion on June 27, 2022.

There are a total of 15 places available and it has a non-working internship module.

Both proposals include carrying out internships in companies so that students can put their knowledge into practice

Also within the commitment decided by the formation of the business association, it is expected that on January 12, 2022, a new action aimed at the specialization of plumbers and heaters will begin.

The course, “Domestic plumbing and heating-air conditioning operations”, will last 558 hours and will end on July 6. Likewise, 15 places and professional internships are offered.

As in the course that will begin on Thursday, it is about the students being able to develop, within a company, the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the course.

It is estimated that the metal sector in Galicia needs around 800 workers in the automotive, offshore, naval and industrial machinery sectors

The data regarding the lack of qualified professionals is worrying.

It is estimated that Galician metal needs 800 workers in the automotive, marine wind, naval and industrial machinery sectors.

The Association of Entrepreneurs of the Polígono de San Cibrao emphasizes training to respond to the needs of the labor market.

It should be noted that its Integrated Employment Program offered 1,200 hours of training spread over 25 courses in different disciplines, which enabled a job placement of more than 50%.

The courses were specific in the field of welding, plumbing, and administration, as well as cross-training, computer resources and social and labor skills.
