Xunta de Galicia has published two new orders through which different aids are called to subsidize energy saving and efficiency projects. These grants are intended for the industrial and services sector and for trade, hospitality, artistic-recreational activities and other services. The latter collected within the Bono Energía Peme programme.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS FOR THE INDUSTRIAL AND SERVICES SECTOR
The beneficiaries of this aid are those legally constituted companies and self-employed entrepreneurs, who have a registered office or a work center in Galicia, included in the services or industrial sectors.
They can undertake, among others, the following actions:
- Investments to replace or improve energy-consuming equipment and installations in the production process of the industrial sector.
- Renewal or improvement of existing equipment or installations for the production of heat and cold for the well-being and hygiene of people.
- Improving the energy efficiency of lighting installations.
- Substitution or improvement of energy-consuming equipment or installations in the services sector.
- Implementation of accounting measures and monitoring of verification of energy results.
35% of the eligible cost of the action will be subsidized, increasing by 20% in the case of aid granted to small companies and 10% in the case of medium-sized companies.
The maximum grant per project will be €500,000 and per company €1,000,000.
Applications may be submitted through the electronic office of the Xunta de Galicia using the procedure code IN417Y.
The application period opens on Tuesday, April 19 and will be active until October 3, 2022.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS FOR RETAIL, HOSPITALITY, ARTISTIC-RECREATIONAL AND OTHER SERVICE ACTIVITIES
In this case, the beneficiaries of the aid are those legally constituted companies and self-employed entrepreneurs who have a registered office or a work center in Galicia and whose activity is included in the following sections of the CNAE 2009:
- G: wholesale and retail trade, divisions 45 to 47 included.
- I: hospitality, divisions from 55 to 56 included.
- R: artistic, recreational and entertainment activities, divisions from 90 to 93 included.
- S: other services, only divisions 95 and 96
The eligible projects are divided into the following BONDS:
- Envelope: solar control elements.
- Lighting: renovation of interior and/or exterior lighting equipment, including signs and shop windows.
- Electrical installations: renovation of transformers, uninterruptible power supply systems, installation of economizing filters…
- Equipment: renovation of equipment (coffee machines, dishwashers, dryers, irons, vending machines, refrigerated cabinets…).
- Air conditioning: equipment that allows reducing the energy consumption of air conditioning, ventilation and domestic hot water installations.
- Home automation: home automation systems that allow energy management and more efficient energy expenditure.
80% of the eligible cost of the action will be subsidized, establishing a maximum aid per application, in general, of €6,000.

The application period opened on Wednesday, April 6 and will be active until July 14, 2022.
