The Galician Government has approved the tender for the expansion of San Cibrao Business Park (Ourense), adding 341,542 m² of new industrial land that will be available to companies by 2028.
Promoted by Xestur Galicia, the €17.8 million project will urbanize five large industrial blocks, offering plots from 1,400 to 68,000 m², along with green areas, service zones, and infrastructure improvements. The plan also includes the river Barbaña sanitation and wastewater plant upgrade, ensuring sustainable development.
Business Association welcomes the decision
The San Cibrao Business Park Association praised the announcement, describing it as “a strategic step for Ourense’s industrial development.”
Its president, José Antonio Rodríguez Araujo, stated that “this is excellent news for the province’s business community.” He highlighted that adding 340,000 m² of industrial land before 2028 will “boost competitiveness and attract new investments.”
Rodríguez Araujo expressed gratitude for “the Xunta’s clear commitment to San Cibrao and Ourense,” emphasizing that the expansion will “enhance connectivity and logistics capacity, consolidating the park as a key industrial hub in Galicia.”
Commitment to industrial growth
The president reaffirmed the Association’s dedication to strategic projects, including the new Freight Railway Station, which he considers essential for modernizing Ourense’s logistics network.
“Our Association remains fully committed to San Cibrao’s industrial growth and to building a stronger, more competitive Ourense,” concluded Rodríguez Araujo.
