The president of the Ourense Business Confederation (CEO), César Blanco, made an official visit to the San Cibrao Business Park Association, where he was welcomed by the Association’s president, José Antonio Rodríguez Araújo, and several board members.
During the meeting, both parties discussed key issues for the local business network, focusing on infrastructure and essential services for the competitiveness of the Business Park, as outlined in its Master Plan, and reviewed the progress made so far.
Environmental progress and infrastructure development
Among the topics discussed was the recent tender for the Barbaña River sanitation works and the new San Cibrao wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), promoted by MITECO through the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation.
This long-awaited project represents a significant step forward in environmental sustainability for the industrial area and its surroundings.
Strategic projects: expansion and rail connection
The meeting also addressed the expansion of the Business Park, currently in the administrative phase, and the need to continue advocating for the Freight Station project, a key infrastructure to enhance the Park’s logistics connectivity via rail and increase its competitiveness.
The Association’s president, José Antonio Rodríguez Araújo, thanked the visit and emphasized “the importance of cooperation between the CEO and the Association to keep promoting projects that strengthen competitiveness, sustainability, and growth capacity for companies in San Cibrao.”
