The San Cibrao Business Park Association continues to enhance safety in the industrial area thanks to funding granted by the Regional Government of Galicia under the June 2, 2025 Order (procedure IN519E), aimed at improving and modernizing Galician business parks.

The project represents a total investment of €121,871.89, including €97,497.51 in public funding and €24,374.38 contributed by the Association. Implementation will take place over eight months, between October and May.

A pioneering surveillance system in Galicia

With 4.8 million square meters, the San Cibrao Business Park is one of the largest industrial areas in Galicia and has had a pioneering video surveillance system since 2006. It currently includes 100 cameras, 20 of which use LPR technology for license plate reading.

In 2024, the Association provided the Civil Guard with over 36,000 hours of footage, helping to clarify 28 incidents, including thefts, property damage, and traffic accidents. This collaboration has made the system a key tool in crime prevention and investigation in the province.

Reinforcing safety through innovation

The new project includes the installation of 20 additional cameras, system configuration, and the deployment of advanced servers and infrastructure to ensure secure and legal image storage, operating 24/7 throughout the year.

It also involves fiber-optic installation work to improve network connectivity and performance.

A commitment to safety and competitiveness

With this investment, the Association strengthens its commitment to safety and business competitiveness, while reinforcing collaboration with law enforcement.

“This strategic investment ensures a safer environment for businesses and workers, deters crime, and attracts new investment,” said José Antonio Rodríguez Araújo, president of the San Cibrao Business Park Association.
