The Xunta de Galicia has published today in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) the Order of 16 January 2026, establishing the regulatory framework for grants to support entrepreneurship initiatives and opening the 2026 call for applications (procedure code TR880A).
Providing financial support at the early stages of a business project is a decisive factor in ensuring its viability and long-term sustainability.
These grants are aimed at self-employed workers and small and medium-sized enterprises that have started their activity since 1 January 2024, with the objective of consolidating business projects and fostering a strong and competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Eligible expenses include notarial and registry costs directly related to the activity, up to €300 per beneficiary, as well as rental expenses for the business premises or workplace, up to €1,500, which may be increased by 10% in cases of business succession, helping to prevent the closure of viable businesses.
The programme also covers refurbishment and adaptation works of business premises, provided they qualify as simple repairs that do not affect the building structure, with a maximum eligible investment of €40,000.
Luxury decorations, the acquisition of vehicles or buildings, and other excluded expenses are not eligible. The habitual residence of the self-employed person is also excluded.
Grants will be awarded through a competitive selection process, with a maximum score of 30 points, based on economic, territorial and social criteria.
Applications must be submitted electronically only, from the day following publication in the DOG until 2 March 2026.
