FEGAPE and CEDAES have highlighted the truck parking at San Cibrao Industrial Park as an example of safety, innovation and services for professional transport during the “San Cibrao, Logistics Hub of the Future” conference held this week in Ourense

The truck parking facility at San Cibrao Industrial Park has consolidated itself as a benchmark model for business areas in Galicia and across Spain. This was recognised by both FEGAPE and CEDAES during the technical conference held in Ourense and the subsequent visit to the City of Transport.

National recognition

FEGAPE (Galician Federation of Business Parks), which represents Galician business parks, and CEDAES (Spanish Confederation of Business Areas) —a national body integrating more than 6,000 business parks and industrial estates across Spain— identified the model developed in San Cibrao as an example to follow.

59 spaces and European Gold security certification

The car park, opened in early 2025 at the City of Transport, has 59 spaces for heavy vehicles and holds the European “Gold” certification in safety and services.

Facilities and services for hauliers

The facilities include:

  • 24-hour CCTV and on-site night security
  • Double access control and perimeter fencing
  • Advanced lighting
  • Showers, changing rooms and laundry
  • Free Wi-Fi and rest area
  • Electrical hook-up points for refrigerated trucks
  • Online booking and automatic licence plate recognition

Specific measures for women hauliers

The Association of Entrepreneurs of San Cibrao Industrial Park particularly emphasises the commitment to the safety and well-being of transport professionals, including specific measures designed for women hauliers, with dedicated spaces and adapted conditions.

“Business parks must respond to new logistics needs”

The President of the Association, José Antonio Rodríguez Araújo, stressed that this project “demonstrates that business parks must not only be productive spaces, but also modern, safe environments prepared to respond to new logistics needs”.

The conference also featured the participation of Diego Toja García, manager of XESTUR; José Ángel Vázquez, president of FEGAPE; and Pablo García-Vigón González, president of CEDAES, who took part in the technical visit to the facilities.

An exportable model for professional transport

The Association considers it particularly significant that organisations representing thousands of business areas have identified the San Cibrao truck parking as an exportable model and a benchmark for future projects linked to professional transport, security and advanced logistics.

This recognition reinforces the prestige of San Cibrao Industrial Park as an industrial driver of Ourense and as a space capable of promoting innovative projects aligned with the new needs of the business and logistics sector.
