Igape grants justification workshop San Cibrao das Viñas: what the session covered
Conecta Ourense continues to strengthen its business advisory service by bringing its sessions directly to where companies operate. The workshop covered the key aspects that companies must consider to avoid errors and risks during the justification phase, submit well-organised and correctly documented files, and speed up the receipt of awarded grants.
The Galicia Exporta Empresas scheme was used as a practical case study, as it is one of the Igape grants that generates the most queries at the justification stage due to its technical and documentary requirements.
The session was also open to business associations, consultancies, administrative agencies and other entities supporting companies in the processing of public grants, with the aim of sharing criteria, recommendations and best practices applicable to both Igape grants and other public funding schemes.
Workshop programme
The session began at 10:30 with institutional welcome remarks from:
- José Antonio Rodríguez Araújo, President of the Asociación de Empresarios del Polígono San Cibrao das Viñas.
- Marta Novoa Iglesias, Mayor of San Cibrao das Viñas.
- Jaime Pereira Novoa, Secretary General of the CEO.
At 10:40, the main block began: the practical workshop on the management and justification of public grants, delivered by three experts:
- Laura Almeida Freire, Deputy Director of Settlements at Igape.
- Placeres Conde Suárez, Deputy Director of Internationalisation at Igape.
- María Fernández Vázquez, Conecta Ourense Manager at CEO.
At 11:40, an open Q&A session gave attending companies the opportunity to put their questions directly to the speakers. The event closed at 12:00 with a networking coffee break.
