The EmprendOU en femenino 2026 grants are now open. The Ourense Provincial Council (Deputación Provincial de Ourense) published today, 16 July 2026, in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) the regulatory bases for the public competition for grants aimed at maintaining female employment, with the goal of supporting women’s entrepreneurship in the province, with particular attention to rural areas. The application deadline is 30 October 2026.
EmprendOU en femenino Ourense Provincial Council 2026: what does this grant consist of?
The EmprendOU en femenino 2026 call has a dual purpose. On one hand, it continues the line established in 2025 of supporting female entrepreneurship as a tool for economic development, territorial cohesion, reduction of structural gender gaps, territorial equity and population retention, with a particular focus on the rural environment of the province.
On the other hand, this edition incorporates a specific continuity objective for projects that were already beneficiaries in 2025, with the aim of supporting their consolidation and preventing the interruption of business or professional initiatives already supported by the Council.
The total budget for the call is 150,000 euros from the Ourense Provincial Council’s 2026 budget. 75% of this credit is reserved as a priority for initiatives whose workplace is located in municipalities in the province with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.
Who can apply for EmprendOU en femenino 2026?
Two distinct profiles can be beneficiaries of this call:
A) Beneficiaries of the 2025 call
Women who were already beneficiaries of the 2025 call and who, at the time of application, remain registered in the business or professional activity that led to the previous grant. These applications will receive priority processing during the first 30 working days of the application period.
B) First-time applicants
Women applying for the first time who meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a woman.
- Have a minimum of 3 months of activity in a business or professional capacity at the time of application.
- Be between 16 and 35 years of age at the time of Social Security registration.
- Hold Spanish nationality or be a citizen of the EU, EEA or Switzerland, or be a foreign national with a residence authorisation enabling self-employment.
- Be registered as a resident in a municipality of the province of Ourense.
- Be registered with Social Security under any self-employment scheme, or as a member of a professional mutual fund, with a minimum of 3 months’ registration.
- Be registered for the subsidised activity in a municipality of the province of Ourense, with a minimum of 3 months’ registration.
Women who meet these requirements and carry out their activity as a civil partnership, community of goods or any other commercial entity, including cooperatives or social economy entities, are also eligible. In all cases, applications must be submitted on an individual basis.
How much funding is available?
The grant is structured in two tiers:
Fixed tier: equivalent to 75% of the current monthly national minimum wage for 2026. Based on the monthly minimum wage of 1,221 €, the fixed tier amounts to 915.75 euros per applicant.
Complementary tier: this will only apply if, once all applications have been awarded their fixed tier grant, there is still credit available. In that case, the remaining balance will be divided equally among all beneficiaries, without exceeding the maximum available credit for the call.
These grants are compatible with other subsidies, income or resources from any public or private administration, national or international.
What is the deadline to apply?
Applications can be submitted from 9:00 on 23 July 2026 (seventh calendar day after publication in the BOP) until 30 October 2026, unless the available credit runs out beforehand.
During the first 30 working days of the period, applications from women who were already beneficiaries in 2025 will receive priority processing.
Grants will be awarded in strict order of priority based on the date and time at which each application is complete and meets all the requirements, without comparison between applications or use of scoring criteria.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted using the standardised form available on the website and electronic office of the Ourense Provincial Council (depourense.gal), together with the required supporting documentation.
The application must include a mobile phone number and an email address belonging to the applicant. If the application is submitted through a representative, adviser or agency, the applicant’s and representative’s contact details must appear separately.
The EmprendOU en femenino Network
Beneficiaries of this call will become members of the EmprendOU en femenino Network, promoted by the Ourense Provincial Council as a tool to drive female entrepreneurship in the province.
This network aims to facilitate contact among women entrepreneurs, promote the exchange of experiences and good practices, support training and awareness-raising activities, and foster opportunities for professional and business collaboration. Membership of the network involves no financial obligations for participants and does not affect the grant awarded.
Frequently asked questions about EmprendOU en femenino 2026
Can women of any age apply?
First-time applicants must be between 16 and 35 years of age at the time of Social Security registration. However, women who were already beneficiaries in 2025 are exempt from the age requirement for this call.
Is it compatible with the Xunta de Galicia’s Emega grants?
Yes. These grants are expressly compatible with other subsidies from any public or private administration.
What happens if the credit runs out before 30 October?
Once the available credit is exhausted, the Council will publish this on its electronic office and subsequent complete applications that cannot be funded will be denied on these grounds. It is therefore advisable to submit the application as early as possible.
