This morning, the second vice president and acting Minister of the Environment, Territory and Housing, Ángeles Vázquez, met with the businessmen of the San Cibrao Industrial Park to discuss the creation of the truck parking.

During his visit, he announced that the Xunta de Galicia has declared this project as a unique business project, which means a great opportunity for the development of our industrial area.

This declaration will allow the direct award and sale of a plot of more than 11,200 square meters to the Business Association.

Benefits for Entrepreneurs

This initiative, promoted with the support of the Xunta de Galicia and the Deputation of Ourense, provides for the creation of 59 parking spaces for trucks , as well as the construction of two separate buildings for men and women, with changing rooms and differentiated rest areas.

In addition, access controls and video surveillance will be implemented to guarantee security at all times.

One of the highlights of this project is its focus on gender and security.

The aim is to promote the presence of women in the transport sector, offering adequate and safe facilities. In fact, this car park will be the first in Spain to have these characteristics, becoming a Safe and Protected Parking Area (AESP).

A Boost for San Cibrao das Viñas

San Cibrao das Viñas is a vital industrial hub in the province of Ourense, with more than 320 companies and more than 8,000 workers.

This project will not only benefit our business community, but will also serve as a good practice example for other industrial parks throughout Galicia.
